Directory problems

I am running phpmotion sites, and right after isntall I recieve a error as follows,
Warning: realpath() [function.realpath]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/lib/php5/20060613+lfs) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/ in /var/www/vhosts/ on line 2
extension_dir does not exists /usr/lib/php5/20060613+lfs

I can get around this by commenting out the base url in apacheehcp .conf, but as soon as a cron runs it over writes my changes and cause the error to return, is there a better way to stop this error or stop the over write?

To change settings about apache config, do NOT edit apachehcp.conf, since it is overwritten each time ehcp daemon makes an iteration.. or a new domain is setup.

to change apache config, use apachetemplate file instead.. that file is used to build apachehcp.conf . But, be careful that, it is used by all domains in your server. if you wish to change some apache config only for some of your domains or one of your domains, then, use custom http, or "edit apache template for this domain" after selecting your domain in ehcp gui.

Know that, removing opeb_basedir restriction reduces your server security. Instead, you should try things/scripts work with that setting.

I will try a solution for this.. basically, You need to make phpmotion work with "local files of php" , not system files.. you need to copy/symlink those files to inside domain folder..

1. i put phpshield.5.2.lin on this directory /usr/lib/php5/20060613+lfs so the result will be

2. vi pico /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
add this extension=phpshield.5.2.lin in last page on php.ini

3. /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

and then everything is work,
what is your opinion ehcpdeveloper?

i think this is a good solution, that does not alter open_basedir seurity...
